Spelling Bee Results

…students compete in school level spelling bee

Ainsworth Community Schools held their 1st – 8th grade Spelling Bee on Friday, February 3, 2012 in the Learning Center.  Students took a written test on Wednesday to determine the finalists.  The students who advanced to the Oral Bee were: 1st Grade:  Breanna McLeod, Caleb Kinkaid, Cameryn Goochey, Dakota Stutzman, Emma Sears, and Moriah Cheatum.  2nd Grade:  Allison Arens, Ben Flynn, Brody Denny, Caleb Allen, Elizabeth Wilkins, Maia Flynn, and Shelly Saner. 3rd Grade:  Aubree Arens, Brandt Murphy, Cameron Adkisson, Cheyenne Bunch, Madison Welch, Matthew Jeffers, Molly Salzman. . . . read more

January Birthday Celebration and “Star Performance” Tribute

...elementary students recognized for birthdays and star performances!

Once a month the McAndrew Elementary students, faculty, and staff gather in the hallway for an all-school assembly.  At the assembly, we recognize all the people who had birthdays during that month.  On Thursday, February 2, 2012, we recognized everyone in our school family who celebrated a birthday in January. Thespian Showcase

Ainsworth High School’s Thespian Troupe is busy preparing for their upcoming Thespian Showcase. The Thespian Showcase will be a night of two student-directed one-act plays: “Hard Candy” by Jonathan Rand and “Brothers” by William Gadea. Student directors for these one-acts are Wacey Gallegos, Alan Hurless, and Conner Kozisek.  The idea for the Thespian Showcase developed from our desire to have some sort of production for the 2nd semester.
