4th Graders Awarded Educational Awards
....12 students receive Presidential Awards for Excellence and Achievement

Nine students were awarded the President's Award for Educational Excellence and three students were awarded the President’s Award for Educational Achievement at McAndrew Elementary's end-of-the-year Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 20, 2009.
The President's Awards program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, in partnership with the National Association of Elementary School Principals, honors students who have achieved high academic goals during their elementary school career. Students received a certificate signed by the President of the United States and the U.S. Secretary of Education. A congratulatory letter from the President is included with the awards. In addition, the students received a lapel pin inscribed with the Presidential Seal.
