National Honor Society Elects Officers
by Cherry Hafer
August 27, 2009
Congratulations to new officers of National Honor Society. Kayla K. was elected president; Jordyn L., vice president; Bailie H., secretary; Tessa J., treasurer; and, Kirsten P., deputy. These students will lead the Ainsworth chapter of the National Honor Society, which is 17 members strong. In order to be a member, a student must maintain a cumulative grade point of 3.5 and demonstrate good character through action and involvement in community and school projects.
Each member is required to participate in society sponsored service projects throughout the year. This year the society will pick up trash on their designated area along highway 20, read to elementary students, collect food to be donated to the food pantry and other projects as the year progresses.
If your organization would like help from the National Honor Society to complete some of your own projects, please call Cherry Hafer at the school (387-2082).
