Golfers Compete at Southwest Conference Tournament
Kozisek Named SWC Champion

Girls Golf team traveled to Cozad on Thursday, October 1, 2009, for
the Southwest Conference Tournament. Despite less than desirable
weather conditions, the team played well. Individually, junior
Claire Kozisek was the tournament champion with a 91. Kozisek had a
50 out and a 41 in. This was Kozisek’s second Southwest Conference
tournament championship. She also won the tournament in 2008.
Junior Heleyna Cuny had her best score of the season with a 122.
Other scorers were sophomore Kellie Sholes with a 130 and senior
Emma Goodloe with a 132. Junior Ashley Murphy shot a 165, and
sophomore Kylie Schwindt shot a 184.
The varsity squad travels to Wayne on
October 6 to play the C-2 District Tournament at the Wayne Country
Club.
