After a substantial layoff of over a month, the AHS Boys C-Team took to the court on Monday, January 18th, against the O’Neill Eagles. In fact, that last game played by the C-Team was against O’Neill back on December 14th, in which the boys lost 42 – 57 in O’Neill.
This time around, the Dawgs got revenge by beating the Eagles 54 – 27. The leading scorer for the Bulldogs was Nick Martin with 21 points. Two other players were also in double figures. Michael Schumacher dropped in 13 points, and Dyllon Kinning chipped in 10 points.
“From the opening tip the boys played very well. We had great movement on offense and hit some early shots, and our 2-3 defense was very intense. Dyllon had a number of steals in the first half, which led to some easy buckets. I thought we rebounded much better than last time we faced them, and we did a much better job of running the floor.”
The Bulldogs are now 2-1 and will take on the Winner Warriors on February 1st in Winner, SD.
