AHS Musicians Attend UNK Choral Clinic

Each year, over seven hundred high school choral students in Nebraska and Kansas audition for the honor choirs at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Out of the seven hundred, there are around four hundred students selected to participate in the Honor Ensembles. This year, eleven students from Ainsworth High School were selected to perform in one of the three choirs. Ciara Philben was selected for the UNK Honor Choir. Devron Crawford, Emma Goodloe, Kayla Klammer, Rhe’Ann McBride, Austin Painter, Jon Theis, and Ashton Wiebesiek were selected for the Festival Choir. TyLinn Dodd, Megan Maxwell, and Maggie Steinhauser were selected for the Women’s Choir.
After one day of rehearsing with their respective ensembles, the groups will perform a concert on Jan. 25th at 6:30 p.m. in UNK Health & Sports Center.
