McAndrew Donates to Theater

Instead of buying holiday gifts for the teachers, McAndrew parents were given the option of donating to a community service project. In December, we collected $150 from students and parents. The elementary teachers matched that donation and presented the Sandhills Area Entertainment Committee (SAEC) with a check for $300 to use to update the popcorn popper at the Royal Movie Theater. The Royal Movie Theater in Ainsworth is a community-run theater, which uses volunteers to show the movies and run the concession stand. Since many of our students enjoy the local theater, we decided to help the theater update their popcorn popper in the concession area. SAEC representative, Kathy Klammer, was available to receive the check from the students and teachers. Thank you to everyone who donated to our project.
