Middle School Students Recognized as "Big Red Stars"

Courteney Zwiebel and Clay Chohon, both 8th grade students, have been chosen as 2010 Big Red Stars!  They will be recognized at the upcoming awards ceremony on Saturday, March 20th, at the Midwest Theatre in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

The Big Red Stars program recognizes top eighth grade students from across the State of Nebraska who excel in the areas of leadership and academics.  Other highlights of this year’s program include remarks by Jaclyn Lebo, KDUH TV, and University of Nebraska Regent Bob Phares.  Also planned is a special guest appearance by UNL’s Lil’ Red!

After the awards program, students are invited to attend the Western Nebraska Big Red Road Show at the Mitchell Events Center.  This is an opportunity for students to experience life as a Husker!
