Ainsworth Competes at the Blue & Gold Speech Invitational

Story image 1_0

The Bulldog Speech traveled to North Platte for the Blue & Gold Invitational on Saturday, February 9th.

“North Platte was as challenging as usual, but the team stepped up and performed very well.  All varsity speakers either medaled or brought home superior awards.  I think that’s a first," commented Coach Mary Rau.  "The novices had another great day, including a new OID that we just put together this week."

“We learned that Gothenburg and Ogallala will be tough teams when it comes to Southwest Conference, but we’ll continue to polish and improve.  We’ll be ready for the competition," stated Rau.

The next competition for the speech team is the annual Ainsworth Speech Invitational on Saturday, February 16, with rounds beginning at 9am.  The tournament is free and open to the public.  Stop in the high school office for a schedule of Ainsworth’s as well as our surrounding community’s speakers!
