AHS Musicians Selected for Elite Clinics

Hastings College Department of Music annually hosts the Nebraska High School Honor Festival. It has been said to be one of the harder choirs in which to gain membership. Ainsworth High School senior, Kayla Klammer, was selected for the second year in a row for this honor. Kayla will be practicing with the choir on Thursday, Feb. 4th through Saturday, Feb. 6th. The concert will be at Kiewit Gymnasiam at 3:00 P.M. on February 6th.
This year, the University of NE at Omaha hosts the 31st Annual Band, Orchestra, and Chorus at the Holland Honors Festival (BOCH). Guest conductors will be Dr. Larry Blocher, from Troy State University, and Dr. Emily Threinen, from the Shenandoah Conservatory. The event will take place at UNO on Jan. 29th – 31st and will feature outstanding high school musicians from across Nebraska, Iowa, and Kansas. This year, Tessa Jacobsen will be performing with the Honor Band. Their concert will be held Sunday afternoon, January 31st, at the Holland Center for Performing Arts in Omaha.
