Ainsworth High School took twenty-two students to the NECC Scholastics contest in Norfolk on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Students placing first, second or third received medals at the awards ceremony after lunch. Earning medals for Ainsworth were Katherine K. winning the Geography test, Cole B. placed third in American Government and Emma K. placed third in Public Speaking. Several of the students thought their tests went well, others had extremely difficult tests. One test had 200 questions, half of which were true-false questions, and was allowed 60 minutes for completion. Another test contained 100 word problems with an equation sheet to be completed in 60 minutes.
