On Thursday, August 15th, the sixth graders learned about the American Burying Beetle (ABB). This species is threatened, but doing pretty well in the Nebraska Sandhills. Our guest speaker, Jen Corman, is a wildlife biologist with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. She showed us some beetles that are similar to the ABB, but not threatened. It was very interesting!
