
All parents of school aged children are invited to hear Parent Academy: The Effects of Digital Media on Our Youth presented by Jay Martin on March 12 at 6:30 pm in the ACS Learning Center. Mr. Martin will be presenting to the 5-12th grades on March 14, during the school day.


Our kind kids of the week! These girls are always being kind to others. They are the first to lend a hand and are great role models!


On Wednesday, January 24th, 17 students in grades 10-12 attended a group college visit to Chadron State College. This was made possible through College Access Grant funding, by EducationQuest. The students had an informational session with prizes, toured campus, had academic appointments, ate at the cafeteria, and enjoyed time in The Pit.

In 7th grade science students have been studying the digestive system. Today, they collaborated with the high school anatomy class to complete a dissection to observe all the parts of a real digestive system!

On Thursday, February 8th, Speaker Bobby Truhe, a partner of KSB School Law, will be presenting at ACS to many area students on Digital Citizenship.
5th-8th grades from 10:30-11:30 and 9th-12th grades from 1:00 - 2:00.


On Wednesday, January 31st Ainsworth hosted the District 9 FCCLA STAR competition. The FCCLA State qualifiers representing Ainsworth Community Schools are Kiley Orton in Nutrition and Wellness, Addi Doke in Fashion Construction, Payton Sears and Reagan Moody in Sports Nutrition, and Ava Graff in Focus on Children. Also competing in a STAR event, Jon Strand earning silver in Career Investigation. Congratulations to all who participated!

The past two days, the sixth graders have taken virtual field trips to the home of former Senator George Norris in McCook, Nebraska. The programs have taught the sixth graders about the famous Nebraska senator's life, accomplishments, and legacy as a public servant.


The will be a 10:00 Start on Monday, February 5.
The teachers have an in-service.,

Jaqueline Gomes with National Weather Service North Platte gave a 30 minute severe weather training with 3rd graders in coordination with Emergency Management for the Governors Poster Contest.
