The NVC Basketball Tournament brackets are out. Our boys will play on Friday, January 30, at Stuart in a play-in game vs. Niobrara/Verdigre at 7:30. The girls will open tournament play on Saturday, January 31, at Santee vs. EPPJ, with a 2:00 start.

The Reseave game against Valentine, scheduled for Monday, January 26, in Valentine, has been postponed due to Valentine hosting a make-up game on that date. Additional details will be shared as they become available.

We are aware of concerns regarding the smell of natural gas in the building this morning. We want to assure everyone that there is no gas leak. The odor is the result of residual fumes being pulled back into the building through the ventilation system. This can occur on very cold mornings when there is little to no wind.

Please be assured that this situation has been actively addressed since 5:30 a.m., and we are working closely with our HVAC provider to resolve the issue.

Sing Around Nebraska will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The performance begins at 4:00 pm in the Lila McAndrew Gymnasium. Doors open to the public at 3:30 pm.

An audition will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre production of SLEEPING BEAUTY on Monday, January 12th, 2026 in the Ainsworth Community Schools Learning Center from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. All those auditioning should arrive at 3:30 and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are Sleeping Beauty; Scarella; Madame Butterfly; the King; the Queen; Spot; Fairies; Trolls; Palace Attendants; and Caterpillars. Students grades K-12 are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week, and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, and props. The MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:30 to 8:00 PM each day. Rehearsal times depend on roles, and the tour directors will provide a complete practice schedule after the completion of the audition.

SLEEPING BEAUTY will be presented on Friday, January 16th at 7:30 PM in the Ainsworth Community Schools Learning Center. The Missoula Children's Theatre residency in Ainsworth is brought to you by the Brown County Arts Council.
